Classic tube tone from the days of huge guitar!

The all-valve JCM800 2203 is one of the most highly respected 100W Marshall heads in the company's long history. Evolving from the legendary Plexi head, it was one of the first Marshall amps to feature a master volume control. The essence of simplicity, the JCM800 is a one-channel, all-valve amp with no reverb or effects. Its easy control panel, distinctive roar, and larger-than-life edge immediately set the standard by which all other rock amps were judged and it remained the industry benchmark throughout the entire 16 years of its production life. Now it's back by popular demand and just like the 1959SLP and 1987X it has a Series Effects Loop with true bypass that takes the loop completely out of the circuit ensuring the original tone isn't compromised in any shape or form.

Marshall JCM800 2203 Vintage Series 100W Tube Head Specifications:

  • 100W
  • 30"W x 9"H x 12"D
  • 41 lbs.

Marshall JCM800 2203 Vintage Series 100W Tube Head Features:

  • 4 EL34s in the power stage
  • 3 ECC83s in the preamp
  • True bypass series FX loop
  • 3-band EQ
  • Presence control

Talent and a lot of hard work can get you far, but if you want to play like the big boys, you've got to play what the big boys play. Order today and get serious.

If you're looking for the perfect marriage of classic, vintage rock tones with modern feature and levels of gain, your search is over!

This half stack includes the Marshall Vintage Modern 2266 Tube Amp Head and Marshall Vintage Modern 425A or 425B 4x12 Extension Speaker Cabinet.

Marshall Vintage Modern 2266 Tube Amplifier Head
The Marshall Vintage Modern 2266 50 Watt Head is an all-valve single channel amplifier with a choice of two dynamic ranges selectable by footswitch. The Low range equates to the performance you would come to expect from a stock vintage Marshall amplifier in terms of tone and available gain. The High range adds an extra preamp valve into the signal path, facilitating those classic hard rock tones of the seventies. Add to this the ability to dynamically interface with your instrument's Volume and Tone controls and the experience translates into a truly expressive and organic feel in performance.

Two frequency selective Pre-amp Volumes (Gains) - Body and Detail - facilitate greater flexibility in tone shaping for individual guitars and styles while the power amplifier is heavily influenced by the first Marshall amplifiers to be produced, with two KT66 output valves yielding that substantial, fat and smooth tone. A MID Boost switch on the front panel fattens the tone even more while a traditional Marshall tone control circuit enables fine tuning of your sound.

A master volume has been included in order to practically manage the output levels at all venues. This is implemented after the phase splitter in order to fully exploit maximum preamp drive when the master is turned down low. A reverb level control mixes the on board plate reverb with the direct signal to whatever degree the player chooses. The reverb can be toggled on and off via the footswitch.

Finally, a series FX loop is provided for those players who wish to use outboard effect to further enhance their sound. Loop levels of 10dB and +4dB can be controlled via a rear panel switch as well as the option to completely bypass this feature if it is not required.

The cosmetics on the Marshall 2266 amp head are also a carefully crafted hybrid of old and new styles made even more dramatic by the deep purple vinyl that covers the entire series.

Marshall Vintage Modern 425A or 425B 4x12 Extension Speaker Cabinet
The Marshall Vintage Modern 425A angled cab and 425B straight guitar speaker extension cabinets are traditional Marshall 4 x 12 speaker cabs in design. These cabs are mono/stereo switchable and are loaded with G12C 25 Watt Celestion Greenbacks. These were specifically developed for the Limited Edition Jimi Hendrix Super100JH stack and are voiced to give that rich and balanced harmonic timbre that complements vintage tone and the Vintage Modern Series perfectly.

The cosmetics on the Marshall speaker cab are also a carefully crafted hybrid of old and new styles made even more dramatic by the deep purple vinyl that covers the entire series.
