I've owned this bass for about 4 months and I love it! The action is low and fast. The neck is smooth and thin for a 5 string. I bought this thinking I could replace the pickups later, but now I'm not sure that I will. The ESP's sound really good. Great sustain. I can rumble out notes for what seems like hours. The only down sides are the weight and the knobs. It's a little heavier than I like, but the right strap has fixed that for me. And the only reason I gave it a 4.5 on quality is because one out of the five knobs is loose and can't be tightened up anymore.
Overall, this is a great bass for the price. Can you get a better bass at a higher cost? Absolutely. But in this price range you'll find nothing better. Buy it.
