This is by far the best instrument case I have ever owned. I'm a touring bass player and my basses have to survive jostling rides in a big trailer, abuse at the venue, and occasionally on a plane.

It is very lightweight - it feels about half as heavy as my G-TOUR traditional "road style" ATA case. With my P-Bass in it, the case is very well-balanced in my hand. The cushioned rubber handle is sturdy, solid, and FAR more comfortable than any of my other hard cases. The outside is hard plastic like an SKB but it's slicker looking. The latches locks are top knotch and fit perfectly together, no need to nudge the lid this way and that. The inside is firm red velvet - cushy enough to protect from bumps & scrapes but firm enough that I feel like the bass will be safe in an impact.
