I haven't had the chance to take it out to a show yet. Construction and materials are on the cheap side. The lid of the case doesn't want to close all the way. There's some extra padding in the center of the lid which is probably what makes the lid harder to close. I'm sure it will compact over time though. The interior looks nice. One last thing -- the case is too deep to fit my fender jazz bass well. The body at the base of the neck is raised off the bottom of the case by about .8 cm. I solved this by putting a folded teeshirt under the bass body, but still, a UNIVERSAL case should fit such a common instrument as a fender jazz.
